Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to install anything to use these notebooks?

No, Google Colab runs entirely in your browser. You just need a Google account to access and run the notebooks.

Do I need to pay for using these Colab notebooks?

Our notebooks are free to use, but you'll need your own API keys for OpenRouter or AI Studio. Additionally, Colab itself has free tiers with usage limits, and premium tiers for more resources.

Can I use server commands in these Colab notebooks?

No, server commands (like BETTER_SPICE, MEDIEVAL_MODE, etc.) are specific to our proxy server implementation. However, many of these features are available through the UI settings in the Colab notebooks.

What's the difference between using Colab and your proxy server?

The proxy server integrates directly with JanitorAI, allowing you to use special commands. The Colab notebooks provide a standalone chat interface where all settings are configured through the UI, offering more customization but requiring a separate interface.

How do I upload my Lorebook to the Colab notebook?

After running the setup cells, a file upload widget will appear in the notebook. Click on it to upload your Lorebook JSON file, and the notebook will automatically process it.
